I am wanting to update the BIOS on my Z68X-UD3H-B3 Rev. 1.3 motherboard to UEFI so that I can install the newer graphics cards. I currently have version F12. As I understand it, the newer cards require UEFI in order to work properly.
I have been told that making a mistake in this process will completely brick my motherboard and render it forever useless, so I don't want to mess up the tiniest of details in the procedure. Would someone point me to precise step-by-step instructions on how to execute this BIOS update that are written in a way a total noob could follow them without buggering anything up?
Sorry to sound like such a frady-cat, but I only have one shot at this.
What files do I need on the bootable flash drive? This is what I have currently:
Efiflash 73 KB application
FLASHEFI 38 KB application
FlashEFI_autoexec 1 KB Windows Batch file
Z68UD3H.U1n
