hi...ive just installed a new CD-RW(my old one died). Now for some reason windows xp thinks my Seagate barracuda 4 is a SCSI drive...it feels much slower now..everythin takes longer to load and when i try to do a disc cleanup it shows the disc cleanup bar but doesnt do anything. I have not changed any settings..or i did was take out my old burner and replace it with the new one (secondary channel slave). Any help appreciated.

Update ya mobo drivers to fix that and burners should be masters as they need to control the IDE channel during a burn which can't be done in the slave position. ;)

I agree with Wiggo... co'z i tried it my self, I attached the CD-RW as slave and it burns a little slower, so i put it back as master.
