Have to buy a HD, and have this two options:

    Matrox 120G 7200 2M ata 133

    WD 120G 7200 2M ata 100

My mobo is a MSI KT3 Ultra 2, and supports ata 133

    Now, witch one is better??????????

    Thnks:)

    EDIT:

    New Option: WD 80G 7200 8M ata 100

WD is better IMO, but you would be even better off getting one with 8 MB cache :2cents:

Witch is the difference between 2M and 8M ????

I use my PC for games.
And itīs 24/7 downloading movies and stuff...
Then, almost everithing goes to Cds.

I donīt rip, donīt edit video, etc...

    Will I see the difference?????

yes, there is a noticable performance boost when moving from 2-8 MB cache. ATA133 is really more of a sales gimic IMO.

yeah, its a theoretical bandwidth max. However, becuaser of all the stuff that uses the PCI bus u will never make it to the ata133 potential.

Yeah! Pay twice as much for a drive that's half as big! When you don't need speed like that, nor have a serial ATA connection, it's not much point suggesting this, is it?

Go for the WD 100GB 8MB cache... You won't regret it.

He said he uses his computer to play games. And that everything goes to CD anyway.

Well, what do you think that HD would do for him? Duh...

Everyone benefiets from a fast HD.

    :shoot3:
