    How can I get the RAM to run at 500Mhz like it is supposed to?

    increase the FSB on on your CPU.

    how much will I have to increase it by. I have an Intel P4 2,6 (800Mhz)FSB

    FSB@250 (13*250) = 3250mhz
    Memory runs at 500mhz

    FSB@200 (13*200) = 2600mhz
    Memory runs at 400mhz

    THanks for the tip. But is it safe to run at 250 MHz FSB, im only cooling the CPU with a good fan though. along with some system fans

    Darkerick it depends on your system temps and the stability that you experience.
    Search/Read our overclocking forum and you will find some real nice information for your OC'ing adventure.

    I have 2.6c and with @3.3ghz on an oem intel heatsink. It really isnt a problem fot it at all. temps are 49C under 100% load, room temp 22C.

    Should I buy a control Panel? So I know the system and CPU temps?
