Any idea when DVD burners will make the jump to 16x ?
I know that the 8x burners are out now, but if 16x burners will come out on the market in the near future, I'll wait.

Also, when are the Blu-Ray Disc DVD's going to be released ?

"The Blu-ray disk, so called because it works with a blue laser that operates at a higher frequency than current technology, can store up to 13 hours of film, compared to the current limit of 133 minutes. The new discs can hold up to 27GB of information."

With only a couple drives on the market that support 8x burning, and hardly any media that supoprts 8x, I'd give it a fair while. And I wouldn't expect the next jump to go all the way to 16x. Chances are there will be a 10x or 12x next.
