I am looking at SCSI cards to use on my project. And I know that U320 is backwards compatible, but does the speed slow down for the channel like it does with IDE? EX, if I have 4xU320 drives, and 1 U160CD, will they all run at their top speed, or will the U320 stuff run @ U160 specs???

you won't find a U160 CDROM trust me. the fastest SCSI CDROMs were the Plextor UltraPlex which was a 40X ultraWide SCSI drive.

I recomend you put all your fast SCSI drives on one SCSI channel and all the slower devices on another SCSI channel any halfway decent SCSI card will have at least 2 SCSI channels on it.
