    Hello everyone

I want to upgrade the harddrive for my girlfriend's laptop. It is a Dell Latitude CP. The current harddrive is an IBM 6.4GB.

I have never upgraded harddrives for laptops before, so what do I look for to make sure the new one I buy off the internet will fit and work properly without compatability issues?

What I was interested in purchasing was the following:

    Seagate Momentus 40GB Ultra/ATA 100 8mb cache 2.5" drive

How do I find out if it fits properly??

It should fit ok, but these are the measurements for the harddrive, comepare them with the notebook, or possibly look in your manual for measurements. But it should work fine :)
