Does such a thing exist? I heard LaCie is putting out 500gb Firewire hard drives which are multiple drives in one enclosure (I can get it at one LaCie 500gb drive online store now for a hair under $500  ). I've never seen a 500gb drive so it must mean this LaCie drive is two 250GB drives inside one enclosure.

Does such a multi drive Firewire enclosure exist for purchase? I'd especially like to know if such an enclosure has the ability to be daisy chained. Breaking the 1TB mark would absolutely rock.. it would take me several DAYS to fill that up!

BTW you can find that LaCie 500GB drive here. It's got ports for USB 1.1/2.0 and Firewire 400/800. $488 plus 14 bucks S&H. :thumb:

Many of them appear to have an onboard controller so i'm going to guess your O/S will see them as one big drive if you want it to.
