Hey guys .I am running my linux system on an IBM Deskstar 20.5 GB hard drive .I have clipped the hard disk capacity to 2 GB using the jumper settings .Now when I try to determine my hard disk size using lseek on the block device file it just gives it to be 2GB .I just want you guys help me with this ?Is it correct that it will show it to be 2GB or I am doing something wrong .Also is there any other way of determining the actual size of hard disk without bothering about the clip-jumper settings. Also if I want to read my hard drive using the device file size will my lseek return error if I try to move file descriptor across the 2 GB limit when hard disk has been clipped to 2 GB?
Any help will be appreciated.
Cheers ,Varun
