    Hi all,

Would anyone know why I am having trouble with this? I have my hard drive and my CD rom attached to my IDE controller card. It's a ATA100 card. My problem is, my CD rom keeps freezing up when I am reading from it. When I am working from IE and just seeing what's on my CD rom, it lock ups. I never had this problem untill I got my controller card. I love the card with my HD. I have awesome speed now with my HD. Are controller cards not able to work with CD roms? I am using Windows 2000. I know that I can use my controller of my Motherboard, but the controller card is so much faster when it does work with the CD rom. My secondary controller as my DVD player and my CDRW.

    Thanks,
    Mark

I like using my 56x. It's faster than my DVD player.

    Thanks,
