Default SATA2 Drive on a SATA interface

Can I install a SATA2 or SATA150 drive on a SATA interface? If so, will I experience any issues?

    Thanks.

It will work fine. It will run regular SATA speeds instead of SATA II

After doing a quick Google search on the subject it seems that Sata and Sata 2 are backward compatable so you shouldn't have a problem. Your mainboard has to support Sata2 in order to get the 300mb per sec interface rate that Sata2 offers otherwise it will perform just like an ordinary Sata drive, I think.
