Thread: CD changer or CD rack?

  1. #1

Question CD changer or CD rack?

I own a few hundred games and play about a dozen of the newer ones. I am too lazy to get the cd, open the drive, return the one cd to its jewel case and then ... etc etc... but I know that there once was something (I'm not sure) called a "cd rack"?? that would store as many cd's as it could hold so that all you had to do was select the game from ur machine and the "rack" would select and insert the cd - kind of like a record changer for a jukebox.

I know a CD changer use to exist back in '95 b/c the guy at my old job (who is out of touch - I mean he is no longer at the same email address) told me about them and I saw them for sale. Now I am having trouble finding one even at eBay.com. I can't do a google.com search since I don't know/remember what they were called. Does anyone know the name of the product I am talking about?

Brand name, or product name would be great.

    tia!

You might try a Google search... I recall eharing something about them a few years back but I think there were some major bugs as well.

Also, since you own the games already, you might try looking into some of the No-CD cracks that are available. Just be careful where you look for them as some sites will add malware to the executable (they are usually just the main executable file with the "look for CD" command deleted).
