    Default Optimal Drive Configuration

I'm in the middle of building a new games machine and now need to consider how to set up my hard-drives. I already have two brand new drives but am willing to add more drives or swap these two out for more suitable drives if it means I will get better performance. I am not particularly interested in security of the data as it is already backed up on another machine - I just want speed. the drives I already have are:
36.7 GB WD Raptor - 16MB cache at 10K RPM
320 GB WD Caviar - 16 MB cache at 7.2K RPM
Any thoughts on configuration or partitioning would be greatly appreciated.

Since your drives are different sizes, it's a bit of a waste to setup a RAID array as the 320GB drive will only appear as big as the smallest in the array.

If you don't need security, I would recommend buying another 320 GB WD Caviar - 16 MB cache at 7.2K RPM and put them in RAID 0 for best performance.

Or just get another 36.7GB Raptor and RAID 0 windows on them while storing/backing up files to the 320GB drive.
