    Question Problem with CD-ROM

    Hi Everyone ,
I have a problem with my PC's CD-ROM. when i start the pc the tray automatically comes out and goes in and this process continues until i shut down the pc. I have checked all cable connections but of no use.

Can anyone please tell a solution to this problem??
    thanks in advance.

I've seen this problem before and assumed that the cd rom had a short circut somewhere or the button was stuck. If you have another machine to test it in then that would tell you for certain if the problem is with the drive. CD roms are cheap ($25.00 CAD) and even DVD burners can be had for less than $35.00 CAD these days.
