Default Is a external harddrive better than a internal one?

    If yes in what way?
I want to purchase one and I don't know which one.
If I buy an external one could I instal games on it and programs and still have the same performance as with a internal one?
Will it have the same transfer speed if is pluged with the USB cable?
So is an external HDD at least as good as an internal one?
    Please guys help me out.

    P.S. I want to buy a Western Digital 500 GB,USB2 8MB Buffer and 7200 RPM

    NO!!!

They are "Handy" for storage, but not to use to install things on for sure. People often get them to use for storage because they are out of room inside their case, or just want one or find them convenient because you can take them with you easier

The best drive is a internal one for storage, and for sure internal one to install games and programs on!!!

Buy a Internal one, with a 16MB Cache/Buffer or 32MB Cache/Bufferit will be better then the one you said you wanted. Seagate I suggest, but that's just my opinion
