    Default SSD or RAID

    Which do you recommend:

a single SSD for the OS and a 120GB HDD for programs and data

    or

two 160GB HDD's in a RAID configuration (probably RAID 0)?

Looking for speed, particularly program loading speed.

    Thanks.

Two SSDs in RAID 0 - hehe

Depends - what is your budget?

Probably around $100-150 US. Newegg has several different SSDs that fall into this price range and two hard drives from just about any manufacturer could be bought in this price range as well. I would be running the RAID setup using the motherboard software instead of a dedicated RAID card.

Cheap SSDs are just that, cheap.
A decent size SSD (80-128b) will cost you in the area of $300-$380. Less than that and you get what you pay for. I have an Intel X25-M for the os and I would never consider going back but it is $314 and newegg.
