    How big is the difference in performance between ata 100 and 133? My Maxtor is 133 i belive but my motherboard does not support greater speed than 100. Maybe i should get a pci promise udma card that supports 133 but first i need to know if i will gain any noticible difference in performance. Pls help me.
    Have seen that theese cards aint so expensive at all...

    I wouldn't worry about it to much as IDE drives are only just now starting to push the ATA66 limits which is why the other hard drive makers havn't gone to ATA133 as there's no real point to goin' beyond ATA100. :smokin:

    Get a western digital ATA100 drive, its alot faster than the maxtor in ATA "133". Even the seagate ATA 100 is faster than the maxtor
