Default OCZ IBIS HSDL SSD - Anyone Running PCI + SATA3 RAID?

Im currently running a Crucial C300 SSD 256GB and the plan was to always get another one of the "worlds fastest SSD" and run them in raid, however... this is now out...

OCZ IBIS HSDL 3.5 INCH Solid State Drive 240GB

and the benchmarks ive seen are mental!

Just wondering if anyone has a setup of PCI + SATA3 and if so, how it performs? I.e. is it worth me selling my Crucial C300 or can i make it faster by running them together?

I'm not sure if you could run them together as a RAID, but I do think you could create a software stripe across them from another disk running windows.

Software RAID stripe could be done for sure across the PCIE drive and a C300, but you would need a third disk running windows to do it from.

It may be possible to create a normal array with these two drives, using the Intel RAID ROM, but I'm not sure?

You could always send me the PCIE card for testing, and I'd let you know!!

You get to test 99% of things before me anyway... lol

Though you could always get x2 of them and do a benchmark for me :D Im sure we'd see over 1GBP/S with x2 :D:D

Na, I only test a few things from time to time.

Ya, I bet with two of them 1GB/s is possible for sure!

Just a pity my 5970 takes up sooooo much room lol.

Cant believe how fast it is over the C300. Remember watching the vids at E3 thinking "wow"

Then i go to buy a 2nd C300 to run in RAID.. decide to look at whats new out, and am suprisingly blown away by this damn drive!

I cant see anything coming out thats going to beat it anytime soon, though i thought that with the C300 admitidally.

I think it's way too pricey, I'd rather get another 256GB C300 and run RAID.

A C300 cost as much as one of those?

If so, WOW, and then yes I guess it would be an OK price for sure then!
