Thread: Windows 2000 & Ibm 30gb

    I have got a Ibm 30gb drive that works fine under windows 98 except when i run windows2000 pro the drive doesn't show up and is unaccesible anyone got any ideas???

    If I remember rightly Andy and the same prob with one but had the drive changed but the only prob is that he's at a LAN this weekend and won't be back till sometime on Sunday. :(

    Andy's problem was that the model he got was not certified to run with that os but he'll fill us in sometime tomorrow I spose. :smokin:

    yeah i had the same prob

    you should check the win2k compatability list

    if yours is listed as incompatable, you will have to go with windows XP or 98

    i went to xp and have had no problems :)

    have a look in control panel>administrative tools>computer management>storage>disk management
    see if the drive is there at all, and if it is make sure a drive letter is assigned to it

    got home from a lan one day and for some reason had no 2nd hdd, i had a look there and the drive letter had gone:snip:
    just one possibility... :)
