    the wd is a bit faster, but the seagate is quieter, i personally have a seagate iv 80 gig..its quiet!!!

    Its all about preference... WD's rep and its extra 6mb would make me go wth it...WD that is. With all the fans i got the HD isn't heard over the blowing....

    Yeah, the 8meg cache on the WDse's makes them quite zippy. Maxtor is doing that now, also...

    Umm, guys... before you start yabbering on about the WD's 8Mb cache, you should check your models.. That model Western Digital HDD only has a 2MB cache... ;)
