    As with all new technologies, don't even worry about it till the 3rd revision.
    Until then they are just playing with the idea. Both, in the design and in the marketing division.

    Here, have your :2cents: , you might need it in 6 months or so:?:

    Quite frankly even removin' Serial ATA from the PCI bus (aka Serial ATAII) I doubt will improve things much at all either as hard drives in their present design form seem to be largely the contributin' factor in this old bottleneck region and without a major rethink here will continue to be one of the PC's biggest bottlenecks.

    Yeah, time to throw out the bathwater.
    The whole architecture is legacy at this point.

    Imagine the bottleneck if the P4 didn't piss away 4 out of 7 clock cycles
    Be like rush hour traffic downtown then - of course, it's not far from that now:(
