Im in the market for a new HD adn im currently looking at the 120GB WD with 8mb Buffer. Now im not exactly sure of what this buffer is all about. Will there be a big difference with the extra 6mb or is it just $40 thrown away?

Im sorta assuming its like the proc cache somewhat, but some clairifications would be great!

Anyone else notice that RAM prices where cut in half? (Atleast where i am)

The 8mb cache drive will provide a nice performance boost over the 2mb version. There appears to be a glut in the DDR ram market now, with some sources reporting that chips are selling for less than the manufacturing cost on the spot markets.
