Hey , my girlfriend had a bit of a problem with her computer , I think involving a virus of some kind , in effect her computer has formatted its self :snip:

I've seen a few solutions out there , one was a software package called "Recover it all" which is a little expensive at $100US. Are there any others out there or maybe some other way to rebuild the drive index ? I assume it was just formatted so the data should still be there.

    Help ? :(

I downloaded a trial version from here to recover a 60 gig drive that was formatted. It got everything back, thouhg it took almost 3 hours to do. DOS based, but works with NTFS. I can send u the utility as well, just about half a meg.
