Thread: $ value of a dell dimension 2400

Sorry Yawg, I didn't understand what you were saying.

As for orangutang91, $300 seems about right. Some are selling 2400's on eBay for about that without any upgrades. Since yours has some nice upgrades, I think 300 would be about right.

They shouldnt sell them without upgrades b/c they were 300 dollah in 2004! I dont think a dell can retain its price that well.

Well, mine was a little more optioned with a P4 and cd burner and another cd drive. I think the price was around $400 for mine.

Personally, dell needs to atleast make their cheapo computers a little more capable. I mean honestly, no agp or pci-e? They should tag on $30 and put an agp slot on there.

Limited performance for a limited price

If Dell made their PC's upgradeable, then they couldn't make the uninformed masses buy a whole new PC every year or two. It would be very bad for their profits if they did that. They know exactly what they are doing and they are doing it all for the almighty $. You will never see a Dell that is upgradeable/overclockable.

Well most people that buy Dell's have no idea what AGP, PCI-E or any other technologies are. They just want a computer.
