Basically just looking for anyone who wants to sell a Athlon T-Bird chip over 1Ghz.... If I can't get any offers for that, I'll take a look at getting a Duron instead... Australians only please...

nah, after the second screwed CPU I just upgraded to an XP 1800+ and new MB, so the old MB and 3 x 256MB SDRAM chips are just sitting there.. thought i'd put together a LAN / vid editing box..

SDRAM for a video editing box? Why not use your main rig with DDR for that?

But yes it would make a good server ;)

I'm using this box for vid editing because I'm using an old Matrox Mystique card with add-on for the video input / output, and it's not supported by XP, and I tried using dual video in my machine, but there's still a driver issue.... so i just decided to build a new box for it.. SD-RAM does the job fairly well. I originally had the card in a p200... so anything is an improvement.

as for the FOP32... I dunno if i'm gonna use that again or not. I've got a couple sitting here in my drawer at the moment.. one's brand new, so I might use that one.. We'll see

Experts don't screw up a FOP-32 install Wiggo

I've installed several GlobalWIN heatsinks on Athlons and Durons and never cracked a core yet ;)

And yes they all come with the notorious crappy clip :(
