I know that there is a BIOS update for the Radeon 9500, but is there one for the 9700?

I have a new PowerColor 9700 coming in and I'd like to overclock it a little, but my understanding is that this cannot be done without some sort of BIOS modification to circumvent the detuning effort of ATI.

Does anyone know about overclocking the 9700?

    Thanks.

It's easily clocked using a program called "Powerstrip." Another program called "Radeonator" will do the trick also.

Use caution man! that card costs more than your CPU! :thumb:

    Thanks.

I've used PowerStrip in the past. I thought that there was a tweak needed, but it looks like the good folks who developed PowerStrip don't need it.

    :)
