just was looking at vid cards and noticed the geforce 3 cards can be had for real cheap. they clock at 250/500 which is pretty good and they are dx 8.1 . so i want to know if it would be up to par with some of the newer cards and what kind of 3d marks approx that it gets. regardless it would kick my mx's ass around the floor. thanks

I must agree to the one who said it, can't remeber who it was though but anyways the point is that I think the Ti4200 chip gives most performance for ya money atm as they can be had from $125 us dollars and up + the fact that they usually oc quite nice with proper air flow through the case.. :)

To bad they probably will be a bit tired to run those new DX9 titles that are coming this fall.. At least in high res playing.. :(

that may be so but a geforce 3 definatly won't do good in dx9 if the geforce 3 won't do good in them. i just don't see the point of paying for a geforce fx anything unless it is above 5600?i was thiking about a radeon 8500 but the radeon line is too confusing

i see how it is confuing about what i said. i meant that if a geforce 4 won't do good in the upcomming dx9 games then i know a ggeforce 3 won't do good. i said that i don't see a reason on buying a fx anything unless it is 5600 and above since the 5600 replace the ti4200. i know that newegg is selling the chaintech ti4200 for 82 shipped, and that may be the card that i get
