I think that the only good fx series video card is the 5900. The rest are beat by the ATI equivalents, especially in the under-200-range. the 9500 PRO is great. (this is what i have). the 9600 has great ocing potential. the 9800 rocks too, but that is above the 300 range.

SO it is up to you, but i think that ATI is the ultimate answer for budget video cards.

Put in whatever you like the best. Don''t worry about what everyone else says. Use what they have to say as a quide.

Although what it REALLY comes down to is YOUR personal preference, likes and dislikes. CUASE you are the MONEY and the person that is ultimatel giong to get 100# use of it!

actually u are right chez....it is up to the buyer.

I'd still say the Ti4200 is the best bang-for-your-buck card. It's only like $120usd. Very sweet, but, if you are really into Ati, I've heard alot of good stuff about the 9500 pro's, although I also heard they're going to stop making them soon, so buy fast if ya want an Ati :shh: . : peace2: Mista K6

your chaintech 5600 ultra 256mb card, do you know what the model number is?????? does it say FX60?
    what's the clock speeds?
I just bought my card, box says ultra 256, but it's the no-ultra of 325 AND the bloody ram is clocked at 400, chaintech's site says for the A-FX60, ram should be 500.
tell me what yours says, maybe I can ***** some more at chaintech.

They make a card called the "Ultra" just for the name. It does not actually use the Ultra GPU, and says this in the description.

    FX5900 - 3DMark2001 [20,566] - 3DMark2003 [7,281] - Aquamark3 [56,694]
