    could you get artifacting just by having ingame-settings put too high?

    Sure, you pushing your card to its limits...just like you would when overclocking. Sometimes it better to lower your settings just to have a more fluid game not choppy and slow.

    but the white pixels i get in graphics doesnt dissapear when lowering settings....i cant understand what tweaking i could have made to make them appear....??

    No, you won't get artifacting just because your game settings are too high. You will get it if your card is overclocked, or at stock settings but not getting enough cooling.

    Basically if your card is at stock settings and you're getting artifacting you need to cool your card more. There is no reason why you shouldn't be able to push your card to the limit as long as it has cooling.

    If you still get artifacting at stock settings + cool temps then there is something physically wrong with the card.
