imo all those numbers also depend on what other hardware you are using. you didn't mention what resolution did you test at.
i was just reading a review of 9600 Pro done by TT and i saw that 9600 Pro scored 8022, 3456 and 3051 at 640x480, 1280x1024 and 1600x1200 respectively.
the specs of the system used in that review was
    Processor: Intel Pentium 4 3.0GHz (800MHz FSB)
    Memory: 2x 256MB DDR-400 Kingmax
Hard Disk: Western Digital WD80 7200RPM
    Motherboard: Gigabyte 8KNXP
Operating System Used: Windows XP Professional SP1
    Drivers Used: ATI Catalyst 3.2

System specs for 3DMark03 are almost completely irrelevant. Your score is comprised 95% by how good your video card is.

If you want proof...a test conducted showed a P2 450 w/9700 Pro kept up with or beat a P4 2.8 w/9600 Pro in 3DMark03 tests...

BTW that's a good score for your card.

    Ti4400 - 3DMark2001 [16,028]
