I just got a FX 5600 256mb EVGA card and it sucks! Has anyone had any problems? My TI4200 128mb blow it out of the water. Any help would be great!

What do you mean problems...And your computer specs may help alittle. But anyway, I believe that a fx5600 is tied with the geforce4 ti4400 just that the fx has direct9 support. I think you suggest you return it and get a Radeon 9600.

I had a TI 4600 that the memory has bad so i sent it back and they sent me this 5600 to replace it. I was a little mad. They Say im stuck with it now. EVGA.com. My current TI4200 128 marks at around 13000 on 3d mark 2001se. When i put the 5600 in it only got around 7000. That to me is a big sucky card!!

rythug: The GeForce FX 5600 256MB is a crap card. If you can, upgrade to a GeForce FX 5600 128MB "FlipChip" Ultra, it's a much better card.

AsianBatman: EVGA's a Nvidia Launch Partner, so regretfully they don't manufacture/sell ATI products.

I think im going to try ATI cards or just get another TI4600 off the net. Now just to let you guys know this is for my sons comp, I dont want to spend alot of money. Here is another ? for you, What card (ATI) is comparible to a TI4200. I know you cant compare ATI to NVIDIA but someone has to know based on there own upgrades?

9500 Pro or 9600 Pro. Plus they have DirectX9.

Why do you say "poor kid"?

    9600pro, 9500pro are comparible to the ti4200?

DX9 the games we play only need DX8.

You say that now...but why not get a card that can support it? Better upgrade for the future so you don't have to upgrade again for a while. Better to be safe than sorry. It is also probably the best midrange card right now, just has DX9 as an added bonus.

The 9500 Pro is faster and can be found for about the same price as the 9600.
