    Are you sure? I could have sworn that the 9600 Pro still used the .15 micron chipset. Oh well, guess I could be wrong :).

    Yup that's why the 9600 Pro was able to be clocked at 400mhz and could reach 500mhz overclocked, they used the .13 process for a few reasons:

    1. To overcome the slowness of only having 4 pipelines
    2. To lower production costs and increase yields
    3. To lower heat output

    It was their first .13u card.

    Yeah none of them do. And when you do get it, its only the single player game, not the full retail.

    Actually, that's not entirely true. It IS going to be the full game -

    We’ve just confirmed with ATI that they will be offering the full version with both single player and multiplayer, so ATI owners will indeed get the full experience of the game. Keep in mind though that Half-Life 2 is not finished, so a coupon will be provided with a code to either download the game or have it shipped to you (shipping and handling charges will apply). Apparently third-party board manufacturers plan to match this offer as well, both ASUS and VisionTek have announced similar plans for their RADEON XT products. (from various sources)
