Obviously refurb means it had some kind of a defect with it that was supposedly fixed. If you're planning to o/c, you probably should go with a non-refurb model. I think you'll have better luck.

Soul, why don't u save more and get HIS excalibur IceQ. There's a good review @ guru3D. Out of the box u can OC it to 450 core. I'd say that's freakin' good :)

Because it would be a total waste. All the heatsink stuff would come off and go in the trash so why spend the extra money. Reference ATI for me. Powercolor looks like the best option.

it should run a lot faster than it does considering how it ran on the 733mhz Xbox with video somewhere between GF3 and GF4.
Thing is that it only has to run at 480x520 res for PAL or NTSC... with terrible low quality textures as you can't see the diff on a TV.

Yep most TV's will only display 640 x 480 resolutions but some can do 800 x 600 though a small few can now support 1074 x 768. Consols are designed for most standard TV's which is why they don't need to be powerhouses where as PC's use high definition, high resolution monitors which is why more power is required in that enviroment.

    I know TVs do 640x480.

I'm saying I was told the Xbox can output @ 800x600.
