    is the radeon 9800 pro obsolete almost already?! with the xt, and the new ones will it be obsolite in the next year?!

    All cards that are big ATM will be obsolete by then.

    Though the 9800pros are fine right now, top of the line

    Just because it's not THE biggest and best card, doesn't mean it's obsolete just yet. The later 9x00 series of Radeon cards will be around for a while, because games are only now properly supporting DirectX 9 functions. Something better will always come out soon after any computer product, but I wouldn't say they were obsolete. Hey, I still see people buying GF4 cards...

    New cards aren't coming until spring time so you will be fine for quite a while. Not to mention an overclocked 9800 Pro will play any game for the next year or two in a good system.
