Put short and simple, I look at online pics in reviews and forums and what not, and all the colors in the game are vibrant and the sky looks sweet. When I play my game, everything is, well, pale looking and the colors are just poor, not opaque at all. I'm guessing it's cause of the older shader software and other programs in my Ti4200. I could be wrong tho, so does anybody know what could be causing it and if there's a fix? I run 45.23 drivers because they give the best game performance for my Ti4200. Thx alot, : peace2: Mista K6

I've been playing BF42 on a Ti4200 since it came out, full details and my screen shots looks just a good as the others.. just not with AA $ AF on. I've seen what it looks like on a 9700 pro and 9800 pro and I don't think we are missing that much.

Although I have noticed that some drivers seem to look better than others
I've gone too far and need to move on!

    2 problems maybe.
#1: Try upgrading to 52.16 forceware and see if they help, might be the old drivers.

#2: Try completely untinstalling the card and drivers, use driverCleaner or something, then reinstall with your choice of drivers and try it with nod river tweaking. You oculd have messed up something small and washed out your colors in OpenGL or something. I did stupid stuff like that already.

It plays well here on my GF4 Ti4200's (though better on the R9600P) but maybe with ya brand of monitor some gamma correction maybe needed (it does happen with some monitors and I still have SETI runnin' in the background).

I had a ti4400 and played bf every since it came out with no problem. I played with all details high but no AA. No problem at all except once in awhile a little lag. Every since i upgraded to the 9800np, the game runs faster and little difference compared to the 4400, but when i press esc in the middle of the game and come back to the game, the whole screen is artifacted. For some reason it is less stable with my ATi card. (Nvidia "The way it is meant to be played") Well anyway, your ti4200 should do fine.

Performance isn't a problem: I run the game on 1600x1200 @ 72FPS and it the game never slows below that, except if there is a huge explosion right in front of me, but I think that has to do with the particle effects and my not-so-great CPU. I tried different drivers, not much better. I noticed the 52.16 drivers give better textures (didn't fix the colors though), but the performance is lower; 44.03's dont do much in performance or eye candy. I think wiggo is right, if def seems like a gamma problem. I'm going to keep messing with settings until I can fix it. Thx alot for all the replies, : peace2: Mista K6
