Does anyone know what kind of overclocks the average XT can attain without any special cooling?? I was just wondering, because right now I have my 9800 Pro running at 738/434 which is above most stock XT speeds, and I just wanted to know how much further the XT's can be pushed?? Thanks.

Also, does anyone know what the best XT out there is?? I am going with the Gexcube or the Gigabyte, simply because of their much higher clock speeds, but I dont know if that would seriously take away from their OC potential.

Yeah, the memory is DDR, so 738 is what it is doubled, thats what it says in all of the descriptions of the cards as well. Basically, that translates into 369 mhz, and that is what it will read on the overclock utility.

If I were you, unless you have 500 dollars to throw away, Id keep your 9800 Pro. You get very lucky with a nice overclock, and the XT's dont seem to like overclockign as much, as their stock speeds are pretty much at the border of the R320 core. Going from you Pro O/Ced to an XT O/Ced will probably only get you a few more FPS's at max resolutions and AA/AF. Save your money for beer.

The more higher end the video card or CPU the less overclockin' headroom it has.

Yeah guys, thanks for the heads up, but I actually just received this Pro, and there is no way I was thinking about swapping it out, even if I did have the money, because I am very happy with it's performance. I was merely wondering how much higher the clock speeds can be pushed on the XTs because I had just finished overclocking this baby for the first time, and just wondered what my overclock was worth. Thanks.
