Thread: Gah! Do i really want a 9800 Pro?

    It seems like so much money, and I don't really know how much time I'll spend playing games. I mean yah, I'll be playing HL2 a bunch, NHL2004, and other FPS. But is it really worth the extra 100 over a 9600xt. Somebody help me justify it!:shrug:

    ...just need a monitor

    over a 9600XT? yes. However, if you can't justify the cost of a 9800, then go for a 9700 Pro.

    Well you can see where the 9600xt stands next to the 9800.

    Dont trust anything you read at toms. They're a bunch of tools who wouldnt put out a legit review if their lives depended on it.

    Anyway the 9600XT is close to 200 and a 9700pro is only about $220. The 9700pro will give you much better performance too.
