    ATI RADEON 9600XT 256MB SAPPHIRE LRT 177.00

    or

    ATI RADEON 9800PRO 128MB 225.00

I don't wanna pay 390.00 for a video card, so the ATI RADEON 9800XT 256MB is out of question.

What card should I buy? Is the 256MB RAM worth buying a 9600 instead of the 9800. And what about overclocking?

    Thanks a lot already!

9800 pro, definately. Performace wise, there is no comparison to the 9600 xt. The 9800 pro overclocks fairly well too from what I understand.
I've gone too far and need to move on!

Take the r9800 pro 128mb, much faster card well worth the 50 more. Half of the r9600xt's memory will just sit there doing nothing anyway.

TheFly: Absolutely, the 9800 Pro is well worth the extra 48 euros.

Since this threads about radeons i might as well ask you guys questions, save me from adding a new thread.

    http://www.viperlair.com/reviews/vid...radeon/9600xt/

I've just looked at comarisons from that site, containing 3 graphics cards, out of the 3 cards which is mostly effective?

    So your saying a 256mb 9600xt is a waste, if a 128mb is avaliable?
I'm also thinkin of getin a 9600xt, and wanted to know whether to get a 128 or 256. thx.
