PCI express (and supported cards) is supposed to be on the market around June. Basically, you just have to wait a few months and spend a bunch to probably never replace a system again.

Ok ive made my decision im gonna get a 9800 pro for right now and then maybe round christmas ill upgrade to pci express but before i do this, this is 100% the cards problem correct? no way is my mobo or windows messing up?

i just wanna make sure before i drop 200$ on the card

also is it better to get the ati version of it or the sapphire version of it on newegg.com

It is completly your card. If you tried the on-board video and it worked, thats not a mobo problem.

It doesnt really matter, which ever you can get for cheaper as the card itself is the SAME for both companies. Only thing diff is the bundle.
