mwave.com and newegg.com seem to have the 9800XT 256 in. mwave has the oem version for $399, but aren't getting the retail version in until 6/30, which they're selling for $423. newegg has the retail in stock for $449.

do you want to know if these are good prices?

the 9800XT has been available for a while now so its not surprising that they are available.

Oh, I didn't know they were already out. I was thinking they wouldn't hit the market for another week or so.

Let me be the first to say I'm an idiot. I just confused the 9800XT with the X800. :snip:

Speaking of the X800 XT, is that the PCI Express card? ATI had changed the names of the cards around. I'm trying to figure out what's what - and I really don't want to get a new mobo.

I think the X800XT will first ship as AGP but then be released as PCIe as well sometime in the summer/late summer months.

there will be a revision for pci express later. dont know when. i also think it will be based around a slightly different core to the X800
