Default X800XT or 6800GT

I am in the process of building a second A64 system with the NEO4 Platnium/SLI
when it hits the shelves, wondering if I should go with the X800XT PCI-E card (or if the 6800GT comes in a PCI-E version) should I get that instead? I have enough money to afford an X800XT for both of my computers(one AGP, the other will be PCI-E) and to buy second rig in my signature.
I am aslo the first person on the waiting list in my area to recieve the Neo4.

Any other Suggestions for video cards?

Considering that the X800XT won't run in SLI, I'd say the choice is obvious. The 6800GT/Ultra do come in PCI-E, it's just Newegg.com doesn't seem to be carrying any ATM.

I agree, the GT's 3.0 shader model support is another advantage as well!<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Availability may be an issue, but would be worth the wait IMO.

Depends are these machines going to be for gaming? If for gaming I'd go nvidia their Direct X 9.0 features are full blown almost no video lag whatsoever!

If he is even considering a 6800Gt or a X800 it is definitely for gaming...

true... when it's between those two cards there's very, very few differences..

I wouldn't say that either. There are a number of architectural differences between the two, which I won't go into. When it comes to those two specific cards, it's not much of a contest unless you have very specific gaming needs, because an x800XT is better than a 6800GT overall. An X800 Pro is a better comparison to the GT, and the Ultra is a better comparison to the XT.

In any case, ATI is currently out of the question for this system. So long as you can find a 6800GT or Ultra for PCI-E, you're set. Otherwise, you'd have to go with dual 6600GTs to make use of dual SLI, and they will perform a bit better than a single GT for the same price.
