Default identical display on two monitors

I have a computer and a projector and want to use the same display on both simultaneously. I have a Radeon 7000 and it seems like either hydravision or the regular built-on monitor extension program is making it so the desktop is extended. Anyway to just replicate the single and send it to both monitors?

    Thanks in advance.

isn't there a setting in the dual monitor display settings that says extend desktop to this monitor? what happens if you uncheck that?

I've not really played with dual monitors so I'm only guessing here :)
