Wink Sapphire Radeon 9550 or Inno3D GeForce 6600?

    Hi Friends,

I have already two AGP cards - 1. ASUS GeForce FX 5200 128 MB 64 Bit
and Sapphire Radeon 9550 256 MB 128 Bit. But recently I wanna buy an
another AGP card, which I already choose GeForce Inno3D 6600 256 MB 128
Bit. Now the thing is how much quality & performance difference
between the Sapphire Radeon 9550 and Inno3D 6600? And also can I play
smoothly F.E.A.R with 6600 (Not GT)?

Please let me know as early as possible.

    Thanks a lot.

    My PC configuration is:

Athlon XP 2500+ @ 3200+, M. Board: ASUS A7N8X-X, AGP card: ASUS GeForce
    FX 5200 128 MB & Sapphire Radeon 9550 256 MB, RAM: 256*2 of
Kingstone & Twinmos PC3200 DDR 400, Sound Card: Creative 5:1 SB,
CPU cooler: Thermaltake "BEETLES", Power Supply: Thermaltake 420 Wt

Well, you need more ram. Also the 6600 would provide a slight performance boost but not alot to buy another card.

You can play any game smoothly with a 9550. A 6600 will play a few a little better, but not enough to justify buying the card if you already have a 9550 IMO. You should have gone with a 6600GT.

Thanks again Yaw. But right now I don't have so much options. Because in my country (Bangladesh) all the graphics cards are available but mostly PCI Express. I found 6600 GT of every brand but all PCI express except Sparkle. But I don't wanna buy this brand's AGP cards as I already heard so many bad things about it. And I found only Inno3D GF 6600 AGP card 256 MB 128 Bit. And you already told not so much differences between 9550 and 6600. So now can you tell me how far I can OC 6600 of Inno3D 256 MB 128 bit AGP card and what is it's 3D Mark 03 & 05 Scores? Should I buy Sapphire Radeon X700! Is it better than 6600! Please let me know.

    Thanks a lot.

X700 for sure, or maybe a X800 if you could.

The x700 is around the same performance as a 6600, and the 9550 has a slight decrease in performance, so i would not upgrade unless its absolutely neccesary. In that case i would get a 6600.

6600's OC better and have higher spec RAM chips than X700's ... the end results give the 6600 the advantage.
