    Default Mixing GPUS in SLI

    I'm having a lot of trouble finding another 6800 Vanilla at the price I want. I have found a few others that are not of the same brand. (MSI)

    I don't remember...but can an Asus A8N-SLI Premium take SLI if the GPU's are mixed?

    eVGA + MSI = Work?

    Damnit. =X

    You must use the same GPU, but it does not matter which company makes it. The new drivers do not care and what happens is that the faster card is clocked to the same speed of the slower card. Works very well, I ran a BFG OC 7800GTX with an EVGA 7800GTX. You can also mix memory sizes, but same thing, defaults to the lower memory specs if you do that.

    Awesome. So I just have to get another 6800. I thought that was the case.

    Although I was under the impression that you could only mix GPU's if the cards were on an Asus A8n32-SLI...I didn't know it was a driver issue.

    Cool, thanks a lot.
