First off, BF2Nut, that was truly uncalled for. Grow up a little and realize not everyone is as tech savy as you.

To answer your question no, my five year old Dell came with one of those. So it's ancient but, don't mind him.

You are truely an *******. I see your comments day in and day out how people need to either spend too much money, or that you preach you know what everyone should have. Grow the hell up already. You advice is not all that good and you lack any common sense what-so-ever. In fact you should refrain from giving advice as you tend to try to tell people what they should get instead of just offering some useful suggestions.

    to cluis 89:

That being said, no, that is a terrible video card. If you want an older type card, get either a TI3 or TI4 series card. Also, the ATI 9x00 series cards would almost certainly work well in your system and give you a nice boost. THe 9800pro/XT would be a screamer and get you good framerates for awhile.

First off, what do you plan on doing with the system? That card is fine for surfing/mp3s/many 2d applications.
    Secondly, any budget restraints???

You hit the nail on the head there casecutter. I just bought a 9800 pro on eBay and it works great with my system with an XP1800+ oced to XP2000+ via multiplier only. See my sig for benchmarks. I don't play any of the new games just Tiger Woods PGA tour 2004 and America's Army online and a little Quake III online. Oh, and I dig the acrylic cases cluis 89. I plan to get one someday. You like them alright? I also like the thingy I saw in Maximum PC magazine where you don't even use a case, it uses a shelving type system where everything is open to the air. Anybody ever use one of them?
