Default Geforce 9400 GT on windows XP?

I was looking to buy a new graphics card for my 2004 Dell Dimension XPS 4. I found a Geforce 9400 GT, but it said in the requirements "Built for Windows Vista". Does this mean it wont work with windows XP because that is my PC's OS?
Does the OS even effect the Graphics card? I'm currently using a Geforce 6800.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated on upgrading my XPS 4 because I'm not entirely sure what it can and can't do running on windows XP.

No.. That's not what it means. Once you have the XP drivers for your card, everything will be fine.

You can use the card on XP using the following drivers

    Good luck
