    appearantly M$ has a new version of DX8 availible - I've got it downloading I type this....anyone know what revisions have been made? I wasn't able to find out much about it this morning.

    it wasn't in there download part.

    hmmm is this worth d/l? i have DX8.1 rite now...
    is this version supposed to give performance increase?

    Well, if it's from MicroSoft it'll either be designed to increase performance, or to tighten a security hole:laugh:
