    Default need advice

    im into gaming bigtime

    just built a new gamer 2 months ago and now im going to go all out on my graphics cards.

    need advice on what to do

    i have upto 1000.00 to spend,built this pc nowing i was going to max it out on graphics,drives,memory,water cooling later.

    its time for the graphics top of the line upgrade

    i have a 4870 running in it now,but i will gitrid of it if you guys sugest another settup.(I WANT THE BEST)

    heres my system:
    gigabyte ex58-ud5
    g-skill 6gb (3x2) 1600
    core i7 920
    coolermaster v10
    wd 7200 1tb drive
    soundblaster extreeme gamer (taks up 1 X16 slot)if i have to i will change to another slot for this buy the model that does not use a X16 slot.
    1200w psu (new i would go crazy later)
    antec 1200 case
    24"HDMI FLAT-PANEL (1920x1200 resalution) HP
    windows vista (64-bit)

    ok thats it let me know what to buy and i am going to a full water cooling system later on everything.

    Kep the 4870 till 4th Quarter this year, then get a nVidia 300 or one of the new ATi RV870s...

    Yeah Man keep the HD4870 For a little while as there are gunna be some good stuff come out later this year, like Direct X 11 cards and the like.

    Well, Keep the video card and water cooling probably isnt the best idea cos it might stuff up and ruin your entire computer. All your money would be down the drain. Your video card is fine, however is you wish to upgrade it, get a GTX295, Deluxe 700(500W) (takes up 3 slots), or a HD4870 X2(280W). The HD4870 X2 has some cooling issues as it is multi GPU, But you can overcome that with a fan on the side of the case, and maybe one of those fans that go in the slots.
