DISCLAIMER Homer I do not run my card with the 300/666 overclock except for a benchmark. I do not think it's wise to do so. I have it detuned so that it runs about 11,150 for gaming and take it back to stock speeds when not gaming.

I know abc81abc is running Windows Me, however for WinXP, I came upon something which helps out not only 3dMark, but before you get yourself into a heavy fragging, rushing, RPG'ing or whatever pixel pumping action you're going to be doing for the next few hours. :shoot3:

From a command line (cmd at "Run" menubox) or from the "Run" menubox itself, enter the following:

    "rundll32.exe advapi32.dll,ProcessIdleTasks"
(without the quotes, and there is NO space between ...dll, and Process...)

What this command does is, from what I understand, it forces pending idle tasks to execute *NOW* instead of at their scheduled time, or when XP thinks your computer is Idle.

After you enter this command and hit enter, or click on "OK", your hard drive light will probably start blinking like crazy for anywhere from 10 seconds to 2 minutes or so, depending on what "IdleTasks" are pending. After the hard drive thrashing has subsided, it is now safe to run your computer without fear of errant "Idle" tasks being run at critical points in your game or benchmark.
The probability of you being watched is directly proportional to the stupidity of your actions.
