Why Have I got so low marks with the G4 ti4200??

I have got the Antialiasing to default on 3dMark2001se
and on the settings in windows.

    Shouldn't I have at least 9000-10500?

Well close to 9000 anyway. Have you got any background processes running as they will quickly kill a score? Also do you run the test at the default settings? :?:

What settings in your advanced display panel are you using. I believe the default under the 30.82's is best quality picture as opposed to best performance. Also check for refresh rates (in two places) & make sure they are off by default. You should be at 9,000 or so out of the box. With my P4 2.0 I had 9400+ without oc. 10,649 with oc.

Definately you should be gettint 10,000+ scores. Make sure you reboot before running 3DMark2001 and get rid of any useless programs running in the background.

Although cooler is better, I don't think that is the problem Are you sure you're at AGP 4x?

Thanks for every one who replied be the way.

I have checked that it is at none (0x) Antialiasing in the 3DMark2001SE_b330 program and in the windows settings but are you saying it should be at 4x???

The Card is a MSI G4 4200 by the way.

Does the monitor it self do anything as I have an old one, 17.

The 3dmark2001 is patched to 330 maybe it is that????

Should I have special MSI drivers installed????

I did some tweaking in the bios maybe something in there is the problem????

Is there a similar 3dmark program I could use to verify my results that measures video cards performances?

Not the AA setting - you want that off. The agp setting (1x, 2x or 4x) should be 4x.
